Day 1 SATURDAY
- arrival in the afternoon at farm holiday location in the province of Grosseto
- welcome drinks
- assignment of rooms or apartments
- dinner on the farm
- presentation of weekly programme with slide show (only for groups) and
distribution of information leaflets and brochures.
- overnight stay
Day 2 SUNDAY
- breakfast on the farm
- transfer to Sovana, a unique town of ancient origin still bearing numerous traces of its illustrious history. At the entrance to the town guests can visit the ruins of the Rocca Aldobrandesca and the Duomo while the Etruscan necropolis lies
outside.
- transfer to Sorano to visit the medieval village and explore the remarkable historic and natural environment which makes it one of the most fascinating towns in central
Italy.
- free for lunch
- in the afternoon visit to Pitigliano, a breathtaking sight, built on a massive rock of tufa stone to explore the magical atmosphere of its old streets and the old Jewish quarter. Visit to the Museo Civico e Archeologico with its interesting exhibits of Etruscan
pottery.
- dinner on the farm or at a typical restaurant and overnight stay
Day 3 MONDAY
- breakfast on the farm
- visit to Massa Marittima and walk through the charming medieval centre. On the way there two short stops will be made at Roccatederighi with its medieval centre and city walls intact, gateways, castle and church, and Sassofortino, another medieval town, dominated by the ruins of its castle perched on top of the
hill.
- free for lunch
- in the afternoon the visit to Massa Marittima continues with subsequent transfer to Montemassi, a small town built on a hill overlooking the plains to the north of Grosseto and a visit to its delightful historic
centre.

Day 4 TUESDAY
- breakfast on the farm
- free day (we recommend one of the following excursions : Castiglione della Pescaia and Punta Ala; Monte Argentario and the Maremma Regional Nature Park, in particular the itinerary which includes a visit to San
Rabano)
- dinner on the farm or at a typical restuarant and overnight stay
Day 5 WEDNESDAY
- breakfast on the farm
- in the morning visit to Scansano, example of a rural settlement of medieval origin which grew naturally in the following centuries. The houses, built close to each other, occupy as little space as possible, creating a close-knit community and close family ties. Before reaching Scansano there is an interesting visit to the Castle of Monte Po’, a fortified medieval and Renaissance villa (approx.15 km) near Montorgiali, which currently belongs to a famous wine producing company.

- in the afternoon a short visit to Roccalbegna, beautiful medieval town named after the River Albegna whose valley it overlooks.We recommend a visit to the Cassero and to the Pietra. The excursion then continues with a short visit to the small village of Rocchette di Fazio, whose medieval features are unchanged, and then on to Saturnia to enjoy the warm sulphur spa water (37°) at the
falls.

Day 6 THURSDAY
- breakfast on the farm
- in the morning visit to the Museo Archeologico e d’Arte of the Maremma in Grosseto, one of the most comprehensive and most famous in Tuscany, where the numerous archaeological exhibits illustrate the origins of Grosseto and its outlying
districts.
- guests can continue their visit to Grosseto and its monuments(the Medicean city walls, the Duomo and the church of San Francesco) and perhaps do some shopping at the local weekly market.

Giuncarico,Vetulonia, Buriano)

Day 7 FRIDAY
- breakfast on the farm
- visit to the most important towns of the Amiata district: Arcidosso, an old holiday resort on the western slopes of Mount Amiata with its Pieve (parish chuch) of Santa Maria in Lamulas and Santa Fiora, a pretty town on the southern slopes of the mountain.
